The interim government has declared a decrease in petrol prices in Pakistan for the upcoming two-week period, starting from October 1, 2023, until October 15, 2023.
As per the statement, the cost of petrol in Pakistan has been lowered by Rs. 8.00 per liter, and the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been reduced by Rs. 11.00 per liter. This adjustment sets the new petrol price at Rs. 323.38 per liter, with high-speed diesel (HSD) priced at Rs. 318.18 per liter.
The updated prices for diesel and petrol in Pakistan will take effect from October 1, 2023, covering the first half of the month.
The Finance Division explained the adjustment, saying, “Due to fluctuations in international petroleum product prices and a stronger exchange rate, the Government of Pakistan has chosen to modify the retail prices of petroleum products.”
