KABUL: Hibatullah Akhundzada will be the head of the new Afghan government, disclosed by the TOLO News on Wednesday.

Inamullah Samangani, a member of the Taliban’s cultural commission, told TOLO News: “Taliban leader Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada will also be the head of the new government. Consultations on the new government and also on members of cabinet have been completed.”

“The Islamic government we will announce will be a model for the people. There is no doubt that Hibatullah Akhundzada will be part of the government. He will be the head of the new Afghan government. There is no doubt about that Inamullah Samangani added. ‘

The news channel quoting Taliban claimed that the new system will have Hibatullah as its head, with a president or prime minister under him who will run the country.

Based on unconfirmed reports, the Afghan TV claimed that the new Taliban government would also have the post of prime minister, which will work under Hibatullah.
