Federal cabinet restores Saturday as weekly holiday

ISLAMABAD: Federal cabinet made the decision at a meeting on Tuesday restored Saturday as a holiday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was cancel Saturday as a weekend coming to power.

The federal cabinet also approved a 40 percent cut in the fuel usage of the government officials and the members of the cabinet as part of petrol austerity measures.

The meeting also discussed ways to reduce load-shedding in the country as masses face up to 16 hours of power outages.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the cabinet meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was given a briefing on ways to reduce load shedding and improve the overall energy situation.

She said that in four years PTI was not able to even make operational all the projects PML-N had started.
