CJP Bandial takes suo motu notice of today’s NA happening

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial has taken suo motu notice of the prevailing political situation in the country.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial reached the top court after President Arif Alvi dissolved the National Assembly.

Meanwhile, the joint Opposition has prepared a petition to challenge the ruling of Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri which rejected the no-trust motion, terming it “unconstitutional”.

According to the petition, the speaker should be directed to convene the session today as “the deputy speaker cannot adjourn the session as it is unconstitutional.”

The petition has also named President Arif Alvi, PM Imran Khan, Speaker NA Asad Qaiser and Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri.

The chief justice had reached the apex court. Members of the apex court staff also rushed to the SC building the gates of which have been closed public and lawyers.
