Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the General Assembly

NEW YORK: As the United Nations General Assembly’s 76th session is scheduled on Tuesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan will address it virtually at 2AM PST.

Imran Khan will address the 74th session of the General Assembly. In his address, Imran Khan will brief the world on Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and Pakistan’s position on the situation in Afghanistan.

The Prime Minister will also draw the world’s attention to stopping the fake news spread by India, while also giving suggestions for the stability of Afghanistan. The theme of this year’s meeting is Coronavirus Rehabilitation, Sustainable Reconstruction, Respect for People’s Rights and Climate Change.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations Munir Akram has said that the focus of the General Assembly discussions will be on global issues and some conflicts. Pakistan will inform the world about human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.

Munir Akram said that Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi would meet the UN Secretary General, Shah Mehmood Qureshi would also attend the OIC Working Group meeting on Kashmir on Saturday.

The meeting was convened jointly by the United Kingdom (UK) Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General António Guterres on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UNGA.

Twenty-five heads of state and government were invited to the leaders’ informal gathering.
