ISLAMABAD: Former Ambassador Asad Majeed is now working hard and showing the true picture as he thinks Imran Khan was dethroned by US and Shahbaz Sharif.
Sources said that the present government has tried to pressurise ex-envoy Amjad Majeed to change his statement over the threatening diplomatic cable, however, he rejected to change his statement.
It was learnt that he rejected to change his statement over calling the threatening letter as an interference in the internal affairs of Pakistan.
The National Security Committee (NSC) Friday ruled out a foreign conspiracy behind the ouster of the PTI-led government in a setback to ex-prime minister Imran Khan’s narrative of a “regime change conspiracy”.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired today’s NSC meeting, and according to a statement from the PM Office, the telegram received from the Pakistan Embassy in Washington was discussed in detail.
